Task 2 Lo2

 Lo2

My idea of domestic abuse or violence was mainly on women’s who are dealing with this stuff all around the world. Around 95% of women’s are targeted on domestic violence that is not right. I believe strict actions should be taken on these. The basic idea that I had in my mind was that I wanted to show how a female character is going through  abuse in her marriage she can not speak for herself as she doesn’t have courage to stand for herself speak on her rights. Getting hit by husband everyday and then covering her face so that people don’t see her bruises. The bruise on her face expresses how badly her husband used to hot her.

Women’s do suffer a lot. Some of them stand for themselves but mostly don’t. Taking all this abuse and hiding it from their families pretending as if they are happy is not right. Why should they stay quiet?

Many girls now speak for themselves and that’s wonderful, every woman has a right to speak for herself. Speaking for anything they feel like is no going right in their lives.

One of the famous photographers took pictures of domestic violence in 1982. Donna Ferrato was the first photographer to document domestic violence at the moment, capturing the abuse as it happened. Her photographs of “Garth” beating “Lisa” in their suburban New Jersey home in 1982 inspired a years-long project to photograph acts of violence that are among the most common and the least well-documented.

Elizebeth was her friend who’s husband used to hit her.  She stayed at her place and at the middle of the night she heard Elizbeth saying “murder” “murder”, she took her camera with her. When she went to her room he had a hanger and was trying to hit her and she took a picture of that, she had her face in the image as well as she was not aware of something like this would happen.

There are many more photographers who have worked on domestic violence like Patricia Evans, Erik Ravelo, Panmela Castro and more.
Jessica Licciardello, founder of JLDello Art & Design, a graphic design studio, and survivor of domestic abuse, is now using her art to help

others find their voice, develop self-confidence and courage to stand up for themselves.

Domestic violence has always been a topic that never opens up in media or on any social media platforms. now with time there is a knowledge spreading around people to raise their voices on things like these, theses can help women’s who can’t speak for themselves. Whosoever see an abusive behavior either on roads or anywhere, should place a complaint to police.
