Task 1 Lo2
My idea was to take a picture in a wedding hall and explain happiness.
Happiness is a subjective experience that is difficult to define and measure. However, researchers have attempted to study happiness and identify the factors that contribute to it. Studies have shown that happiness is linked to a range of positive outcomes, including better health, stronger relationships, and greater life satisfaction.
There are also several theories of happiness that attempt to explain the
nature of this
important aspect of human experience. While there is still much to learn about
the nature and causes of happiness, these studies have provided valuable
information that can be used to promote greater well-being and life
satisfaction.
complex phenomenon. One prominent theory is the hedonic
theory, which suggests that happiness is primarily related to the pursuit of
pleasure and the avoidance of pain. Another theory is the eudaimonic theory,
which emphasizes the importance of meaning and purpose in life.
Overall, research on happiness has revealed many insights into this
There are several visual theories that attempt to explain
happiness.
The Broaden-and-Build
Theory: This theory, developed by Barbara Fredrickson, proposes that positive
emotions, including happiness, broaden an individual's thoughts and actions,
leading to increased creativity, social connections, and personal growth. This
theory is often represented visually as an upward spiral, with positive
emotions at the center, and various outcomes and benefits radiating outwards.
The Hedonic Treadmill: This theory suggests that humans
have a natural tendency to return to a relatively stable level of happiness or
well-being, even after experiencing positive or negative events. The visual
representation of this theory is a treadmill, with an individual walking along
at a steady pace, with occasional spikes or dips in mood, but ultimately
returning to their baseline level.
The Happiness Pie Chart: This visual representation of
happiness suggests that there are three main factors that contribute to an
individual's level of happiness: genetics (50%), circumstances (10%), and
intentional activities (40%). This theory emphasizes the importance of
intentional actions, such as practicing gratitude, building strong
relationships, and engaging in meaningful activities, in promoting happiness.
Which theorist inspired me was hedonic treadmill I really
liked the work he showed and inspired me to do my photography.
In my work we will see a girl standing and having a broad smile on her face. Looking the people around her having a broad welcoming smile on her face. she is in the family meeting everyone after very long time.
Reuniting with family and friends is such a good vibe you yourself feel there is change that is going to come or you goanna feel easy after talking to them after long time.
Meeting people after years who you haven’t seen longtime is like you cant even expressible.
The photo very well explains its emotions what the person is feeling. Every emotion on her face is very evident.
